Our faculty stay connected to the people and organizations that are advancing architecture and facility management. They keep current with best practices and trends. Their networks become your networks.
Ferris is a teaching university, which means your professors are the people you engage with in the classroom and the studio. They know your name, where you’re from, and what interests you.
Professor Diane L. Nagelkirk obtained her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Master of Architecture degrees from Lawrence Technological University. Diane, a licensed architect in the State of Michigan, began practicing architecture in 1984. In 1988 she began her career as an architectural educator at Ferris State University. She has served as Program Coordinator of the Architecture and Facility Management Department since 2003. “I strive for my students to have a successful transition from the classroom to their professional career,” said Nagelkirk. Her areas of interest and proficiency include project management, facility related human factors, architectural history, architectural visualization, and sustainable building design. Ferris State has given me the opportunity to use and share my practical background and passion for the built environment with architecture and facility management students alike.
