The Architecture and Sustainability and Facility Management programs’ reputations for developing high-caliber graduates has resulted in a nearly 100% placement rate. Your future employers know you have been well prepared for professional life and that you will make valuable contributions to the organizations that are in your future.
In the years since Emily Haberkern, Class of 2010, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Facility Management, she has demonstrated that a Ferris Facility Management education provides students with the skills, knowledge, and experience they need to go on to demanding and high-profile careers.
Emily works for General Motors as a Lead Facility Management Representative. In that capacity, she is involved in both building upkeep and coordination of large construction project among GM’s facilities. Communication is key to her professional success, as Emily actively works with leadership and employees on the impact of facility projects. Emily practices the things she learned at Ferris. “At Ferris, I learned it was vital to begin networking with others and staying in touch. It is important to have a network to provide support and expertise to help build knowledge.”
The extracurricular programs available to Emily at Ferris allowed her to connect with others and build networks that enhanced her educational background. “I was able to connect with peers in other programs and learn a variety of skills, including leadership, project coordination, organization, and communication skills.”
